Introduction to research impact

Academic scholars are expected to demonstrate their research impact either for promotion applications, research grants, and many other frameworks. 

The standard tool in measuring the impact of academic research publications are Citations counts, journal impact factor, and h-index.

Before you delve into different citation metrics, we highly recommend you do the following things:

  • Sign up or create a unique ORCID (Open Research and Contributor Identifier)

             Go to orcid.org follow the given instructions to register.
